Viktoria Heyer has been working as a research assistant at the Institute of Media Management at Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences in Salzgitter since February 2025.

Previously, she was a research assistant at the Institute of Public Communication at Ostfalia from February 2021 to February 2025, where she taught media history, communication and media theories as well as media ethics in the Media Communication and Media Management degree programmes.

She studied for a Master's degree in Communication Management at Ostfalia from September 2016 to June 2019 and a Bachelor's degree in Media Communication at Chemnitz University of Technology from October 2011 to July 2015. During her studies, she completed a FSJ Kultur at the Braunschweig State Museum and worked as a research assistant at the Herzog August Library. From April 2020 to February 2021, she was a trainee in the Press and Communications Office at the Technische Universität Braunschweig.
