The associated PRIMA project, which aims to improve the privacy management of health apps, met for the third time in November, this time at the project partner Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences, specifically at the Leibniz-Institut für Bildungsmedien | Georg-Eckert-Institut (GEI) in Braunschweig. The main aim was to present the results of the first interviews with patients and developers of health apps and to jointly derive the next steps for action.
The project team discussed the next steps to create innovative concepts for important areas of informed consent in the form of demonstrators based on the results of the interviews. The demonstrators should address important patient needs. Aspects here are: What information is particularly important for patients and how can it be presented in a way that is easy to understand using images, audio or videos? How can consent that has already been given be presented clearly and transparently using icons and tables, for example? To what extent do patients need to adapt their consent over time and how can they be motivated to do so using gamification approaches (e.g. avatars)?
