Jan Herlyn has been a research assistant at the Institute of Education at TU Braunschweig since March 2024, and is pursuing a PhD on the topic of participation during teaching lessons within the framework of the project Patterns of participation in cooperatively designed digital learning scenarios on the topic of sustainability.
Previously, he studied Political Science at the Georg-August-University of Göttingen and Economic Sociology at the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. He has been primarily engaged in qualitative research methods in various research areas as a student assistant. He has also worked in several non-profit educational institutions as an educational staff member with the aim of improving the educational involvement of young people.
Currently, his focus is on questions of educational justice and diversity in the post-digital school and learning environment.
